This machining centre is characterised by high productivity and great flexibility.
The basic concept is a horizontal twin-spindle machine with a swivel table installed in front of it. Each of the two work spindles is in its own 3-axis machining module. These move synchronously in normal machining operation. To compensate for clamping errors or for circular machining tasks, it is also possible to make X, Y or Z linear axis corrections to each of the work spindles as well as for every workpiece in every rotary axis. To supply tools, each work spindle is equipped with a circular magazine with at least 30 tool places.
There are two swivel bridges with four each rotary tables assembled on the swivel table, so that there is always one swivel bridge ready in the work area and on loading and unloading side. Workpiece changing during machining is therefore easily possible. The swivel bridge can be swivelled to any position in a range of -22° to +95°. Each of the eight rotary tables is individually controlled as NC axis and can be equipped with a jaw chuck to take up workpieces. This enables the machining of workpieces to be almost completely on five axes.
This machining concept is especially well suited for the machining of smaller components, such as fixtures, made of different materials. This machining centre is equipped for both the use with cooling emulsion and for dry cutting with special equipment.
